  • The crypt of Sant'Anastasio is part of the itinerary of Asti. Is located below street level. A fascinating and suggestive, highly recommend.

  • Too bad it's little valued. A very impressive place full of charm and mystery. We took advantage of the free guided tour, the guide but laudable commitment of all staff. Recommended

  • A real pleasant surprise on Valentine's day, thanks to the guidance and the joint admission to palazzo Mazzetti. Quote now for an amazing crypt (the same suggestion we try Mede and in that underground had passed the monks of Novalesa ...) and a collection of artifacts to be distilled with more time which ends up mouse with an Altarpiece from the Church of San Pietro in Consavia staff were courteous. Missing a catalog and am amazed that Asti, which is Italy's capital of culture there has provided (for Asti you may indicate intelligent Chamber of Commerce, banks, private). Story. The crypt of Sant'Anastasio is a building sort below the medieval religious complex of Sant'Anastasio (demolished in 1907). Is found in Asti in the Cathedral, just a few hundred metres from the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. The crypt is part of the museum complex of Sant'Anastasio. A suggestive hypothesis of don Stefano da Silva, set up the possibility that the original location of the crypt was born following the burial of one of the first bishops of Asti, in fact a Anastasio, of which over the centuries are untraceable. While in the area west of the Museum there is the crypt and the adjoining archaeological remains stone, the East remains attributable to the site of Sant'Anastasio, in addition to elements of the town between the 7th century and 16th century. We are in the Cathedral.
