  • Via San Francesco connects the Basilica of San Francesco at the city center. The road is dotted with quaint shops where you can buy souvenirs, culinary and religious objects. There are also streets facing the main road offering photographic glimpses of particular interest

  • Assisi is the birthplace and place of Francis of Assisi religious activities. Visit to Assisi to all pilgrims and tourists is the famous monastery of Sacro-Convento-Chief Franciscan monastery. There you can climb along via San Francesco. Not to be confused with the American San Francisco!

  • Definitely some of the best spaghetti including that amazing stuff roll. The tiramisu was amazing to be honest and the staff were beautifully sweet. Great option for food
  • Beef with black tartufo best! Must eat tartufo here!
  • Beautiful restaurant with great food at very affordable prices.
  • We went to Assisi on a very hot day. After walking around the beautiful town we found Buca di San Francesco. We saw a lot of pizza places but wanted a restaurant. We sat in the terrace and the server was very nice. It was hot so I just ordered the fantasie crostuni which for simple bread and toppings was incredible. After I had risotto with cheese. (Risotto quattro formaggi) amazing! My husband had a simple antipasto and fungi risotto. All was great. This is also off of the main streets so not as busy and didn't feel as touristy. I would go again.
