  • The square in front of the lower Basilica of San Francesco is of great beauty and walk about, observing everything beautiful surrounds, instills a feeling of rest and relaxation. For security reasons it is currently garrisoned by law enforcement that they search those who pass to get into the Basilica. Bring the bare minimum, open their bags for inspection, and at least you have, the more you accelerate operations. Take this into account when you plan a visit to the Basilica, because there might be the tail and then take more time than expected, anticipatevi.

  • Incorrectly all those who commend this via the grade as the way which the porches, in fact it is a perfectly normal way, about a hundred meters, where is the entrance to the Roman Forum and is populated by various souvenir shops and typical products. In practice, in the town square with your back to the fountain and looking at the other side of the square itself is the road going down on the left and that a few tens of meters in strong downhill forks: the left branch still descends, while the right branch (I think Via Fortini) then becomes Via San Francesco and arrive at the Basilica di San Francesco in stretches of false floor , the view of the arcades it has not just in front of the basilica.
