Castle Tourist Spot
Look over the town of Assisi from Rocca Maggiore, a 12th-century castle fortress. Climb the hill to the castle, which appears ruined, but still has two towers open that offer panoramic views. To the west lies the town, and to the east are the mountains of Umbria, part of the strategic defense of this fortress. • The location is absolutely fantastic. Domina literally over Assisi and has the best view of the city. To get there but you have to climb for a while on road gangs very characteristics. Not suitable for elderly or people suffering the climbs. For everyone else, including children, to visit!

  • Undoubtedly the most interesting Rock I've ever seen. Small but rich. Full of salt, three of them at the top of a narrow spiral staircase (not recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia and Vertigo). It exudes the characteristic medieval setting. Don't flaunt but complete

  • After exploring the alleyways and hidden beauty in the Center, you must make time to climb, calmly, to the fortress. Majestic and dominating the city offers the opportunity to visit the Interior: you should try to enhance it with an acceptable exposure and not only with a photo collection, as I saw her. The important thing is to reach the Summit so as to enjoy the beautiful panorama of Assisi, the plain at his feet and the surrounding hills.

  • Assisi is place everyone should visit. Religious and filled with history. Completely renovated and well kept. Relaxing and inspiring
  • Large and pretty ruined fortress. Offers an amazing views from all of its sides.
  • The views alone are worth a visit. Lots of steps, closed in places and climbing. Exhibits give a good sense of Assisi in medieval times. Take a taxi to get there.
  • From here, you will have one of the best view of Assissi and the surrounding zone, although it can be a bit challenging both to get there and to find a quiet place, to make some photos.
  • An old fort in Assisi. Worth a visit to have a perspective of the medieval life.
