  • I don't understand all the rave reviews I read ... I summarize: porchetta sandwiches with 3 and 1 with wild boar salami and pecorino cheese (this was what I had asked him ...), 1 small bottle of coke and 1 small beer. All takeaway ... Total: Eur 27.90. Too much! When we open the envelope are: buns awful, sliced bread without care, porchetta normal already cut hours before, and my sandwich was just salami (I don't think wild boar) and no cheese! The icing on the cake: the young lady who served us was distracted and not particularly courteous ... Definitely not recommended at 7 pm. Maybe by day ... MAH.

  • We never expected to find so well and especially to eat so genuine and simple. The typical cheese and salami made unique by taste and tradition. Stop to make just chatting with the owners and not because they have the ability to make you love what you have never tasted.

  • We came across this shop at about 14, tired and hot after a morning visit of the town, and were pleasantly surprised. Sandwiches and cakes to text with meats and cheeses very tasty and delicious combination of artichokes, Zucchini, Arugula and caciotta del Subasio for my vegetarian focaccia. Wait a minute long, but well worth it.

  • Great shop- must visit! Fabrizzio was kind and generous. He explained the process of curing meats and the history of truffles. He prepared a plate of meat and cheese for me as shown in the attached picture. I really enjoyed meeting Fabrizzio.
  • Great sandwich with home made ham and mushroons! ( but expensive for back packers)
  • It was pleased to find here in Assisi. Farbazio is a super friendly and kind person !! He served me focaccia with roasted pork and artichoke . Next day I came back and met his son. Both are friendly and can speak English ;)) I had no time to have a sort of matured ham and cheese , next time I will try !!! I had focaccia with salami ,dry tomato and cheese. I'll definitely come back to Assisi and his shop :D Grazie !!!!!
  • Spent 5 days in Assisi and on our first night found this shop. A great cheese and cured meats platter was prepared and great wines. We return for another evening. Fabrizzio is an excellent host with lots to offer.
  • Long ago when I studied in Assisi, Fabrizzio would make me the most beautiful caprese panini for lunch, and I would sit and eat it on the steps of the Minerva Temple. If you travel to Assisi, you absolutely must stop here and bring home some of his own olive oil, at the very least. I remember Fabrizzio and his store fondly :)
