  • I come periodically to visit a dear resting in this magical place and whenever else bewitched by the beauty of this unique place. Most of the tourists are here to visit the tomb of Duse, but is the whole context that deserves a more thorough visit. Even the adjacent church and the convent of the friars deserves attention, besides the panoramic view from the Hill of Saint Anne. You can leave here your car-during the week there's always room--and you can go for a beautiful walk towards the old town.

  • Genius Loci ... — the spirit of the place. What makes this cemetery it is undoubtedly the context, the magnificent panoramic location but also the stories of its deceased. I refer not only to the celebrated Duse, but also to small but significant foreign communities that had the privilege of electing Asolo as his home. You can read German names, Armenians, British etc small stories, dedications ... for example a poignant dedication of an English father on the grave of his wife who finally can rejoin the young son who died some time before. and so on ...

  • La tomba dell Duse is not remarkable, absolutely nothing that ... perhaps it should be also more organised around. Are much nicer private chapels that are the backdrop to this cemetery. The amazing thing about this place is definitely the place. From above this Hill you have a magnificent view almost 360 degrees. There is nothing so appealing, but if you have time it is worth a walk up there for the relaxed ambience of the location and the view.
