  • For starters, I think it should be kept separate, as attractions, the Capuchin Port, the Roman bridge and star dust, which also are in the same area and can easily be visited one after the other. The collection, which forms the northern end of old town of Ascoli Piceno, could have a great appeal, given the antiquity of the buildings and by the beauty of the view of the Tronto. Unfortunately, if the bridge and port appear in good condition, star dust is kept in very bad condition: the road is systematically used by dog owners to bring their pets (without a leash or muzzle, needless to say) to make their needs then on the pavement to do the slalom between the droppings and you risk at every step of running into Mavericks, sometimes even aggressive. Dog owners with which we came across not just were not doing anything to apologize or to limit the inconvenience caused, in fact, seemed almost consider the visit by outsiders as an intrusion in their habits. In addition, the walls are literally covered with writing of all kinds, with prevalence of profanity or insulting against any unwelcome reality to the finest local youth, from police to Sambenedettese. Ascoli Piceno is overall a nice town, but against certain forms of incivility that constitute the least healthy of the Italian province should take serious action.

  • Named as Capuchin from 1544 to Commissioner granted since Angelini Capuchin Friars the possibility to build a small church near the door. The origin of the name Solestà according to some, derives from "Sol", because it is assumed the existence of a temple dedicated to the deity. This, in the center of the top of the wall, a plaque with 3 coats of arms aligned, without inscription, surrounded by oak leaves from the first half of the 12th century.

  • The Roman bridge that allows you to enter the city is very nice, but it's the only thing estate real. The rest is covered by Ivy, the panorama is not usable because it concealed from the branches, there are dog excrement and written with spray cans on the walls of star dust. The greti are invisible and the atmosphere is that of a place of ancient splendor went into disrepair. Disappointingly, accompagnaza by the verses of stray dogs in the area. Pity, we were expecting a very romantic place. and instead!
