  • For lovers of art and culture, undoubtedly, deserves a thorough visit, the Pinacoteca Civica di Ascoli Piceno, located on the 1° and 2° floor of the Town Hall, with Piazza Arringo. It was staged, in 1861, by Abhi George Paci and Giulio Gabrielli, whom they selected, and chose the most representative works from keep. These works enrich the artistic heritage of the art gallery, and are the result, both by private donations, donations to churches and monasteries: among the most famous are the collections of furniture from the family of the counts Sgariglia, those of doctor Abhi Antonio Carter, and Ernesto Verrucci. The pinacoteca, is structured in 15 exhibition halls, which are home to countless paintings on canvas and on plank, the period that goes from the 14th to the 20th century, as well as sculptures, frescoes, Numismatic collections, ceramics, musical instruments etc. Among the artists, the most famous include: Titian, Tintoretto, Pietro Alemanno, Cola dell'Amatrice, Carlo Crivelli et al. Finally, it should be noted, that the civic art gallery houses the precious English Face, perfectly preserved from the 13th century, "Cope", which Pope Nicholas IV° Ascoli donated to Canterbury Cathedral in 1288.

  • To visit without a guide, nice to look at but the contemporary artworks of modern ceramics ... "slide" through the history I didn't like it at all! In the rooms there is a crazy hot ... maybe because the tourist must hurry to come out??
