  • The nuraghe La Prisciona is located in the Valley of Capichera in Arzachena (SS) and it is very important for the large village and the artifacts found. The site is very well maintained and has many non-slip walkways. Some areas may be looked at but not enter. The guides are very prepared and updated. Nearby are other important archaeological sites: the Tomba dei Giganti Coddu Ecchju (don't miss), the Li Muri necropolis and many others.

  • Arzachena and Costa Smeralda offer sea and beautiful beaches, ancient history in the archaeological sites just minutes from the city centre, excellent gastronomic tradition, small and large events throughout the year.

  • The site is open also for handicapped persons and children. You must visit this site. This site is a goldmine of ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES! Sardinia is a magical land, able to surprise and delight you. I've been here about 15 years ago. Back then it was just a beautiful nuraghe imposing to visit. We came back at Christmas. Recent finds have opened a new horizon: is for sure a very well preserved village extended inhabited supposedly by 800 people, to which you add the relationship with its nearby necropolis: the grave of Coddu Ecchju ', which is just one kilometer away. Today, in addition to nuraghe restored stones collapsed, yet still has many secrets to reveal-holes on the ground indicate the presence of poles but also other functions are possible visit to rent also ceremonial hut with lots of seats used by clan leaders/priests, huts-metalworking workshops of artisans, cooking of clays, and even for the repair of damaged vessels! Other amazing extraordinary discovery is the pit, in which were found fragments of vases from likely ceremonial function. This site still has a lot to tell: only a few huts are now clearly identified, but an infinite number--a hundred-are yet to be excavated. Dig is a term unfit, one must STUDY: material is only a few centimeters from the surface! Hopefully get other financing and continue his studies. Sardinia has given us a wealth of 8,000 nuraghes. How many of these have this same structure? Only 10% has been excavated and studied properly. If passed in Gallura, you must come here!

  • Nuraghe la Prisgiona is beautiful and in any respect worth a visit! The guided tour - we had the English one - is very good with a profond knowledge of the culture and architecture of this wonderful ancient village. We will come back in June this year!
  • Muy interesante lugar.
  • Truly important, small but well preserved. Brave and prepared the guide. Too bad there are no funds to continue excavations in the village. It would be a wonder, but even so it deserves.

  • One of the best preserved structures in the area. You can visit a large central nuraghe and huts. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area! There's a big car parking next to the hotel.

  • Nuragic village. To see absolutely. Best time late spring led by archaeologists prepared and ready to answer your curiosity.
