  • Corlo Lake is about 30 km from Bassano del grappa, Mountain Lake emerald green colour, quiet and suitable for long walks!

  • To see him live, this Lake leaves a little to be desired. The color and water clarity are not the best and the view are not exceptionally pleasing, as is eg. the waters of other famous lakes, like that of Levico, Carezza, Sorapis, Braies, Nembia, performance etc, just to name a few. Sometimes even the water is cloudy! Obviously by an artificial lake are not expecting an excellent quality of the water, but at least that the ripe and the surrounding vegetation is kept in good condition, but, from what we've seen, maintenance leaves something to be desired. The Lake is not totally passable, but only sometimes. The villages and the surrounding towns, tourist swarm not absolutely, indeed, so rarely visited seem sad and forgotten, if it weren't for the presence of a campsite and a hotel along the shores of the Lake. If like me you are fans of Alpine mountain lakes, and don't go there just out of curiosity, otherwise you won't miss anything!

  • Taking advantage of 2 days of rest and not wanting to deal with kilometers and files (his recently returned from vacation) we head toward Lake Corlo to Arsiè Belluno province not far from Feltre. Born as artificial lake with dam and hydroelectric power station. Fed by rainwater and streams in some places form waterfalls. Long 7 km you can circumnavigate on foot or by canoe Paddle boats for hire for those who are more athletic. Bathing but not all would plunge. Famous for pike fishing (that's why they say it is not suitable for swimming diving and lapping frighten fish). Along the Lake there is a park with picnic area, BBQ area, toilets and a bar that makes pub grub. To stay you can choose between camping (I chose Gajole), bed and breakfast. If you are fond of walks I made a very intriguing. Parties by the Lake you cross a wooden bridge (still I suffer from Vertigo and I was able to go through it) and you follow a path that enters a forest there admiring the waterfalls. The route is feasible even for children (of course have to walk I have one of 8 years and has dealt with without difficulty and indeed was very involved). The climb alternates with piecewise smooth terrain downhill sometimes disjointed but nothing impossible. Our destination was the Fumagai of the country Houses. Abandoned in the years 70. Arrive at your destination you can say that these houses destroyed seeds retain details & Interior "Properties" as if time stood still and nothing and nothing has broken down the object (weather, wild animals, the man himself Wayfarer). It was very disturbing. It took 4 hours (with small breaks) but it was worth it. You can face the Lake tour bike but I recommend a Mountain bike the terrain is very steep. L next day we rented a pedal boat and for 3 hours enjoyed the sunshine, Lake, landscape, silence. As a quick ride out brings you may want to consider without the need to stay (if you live around). Good walk
