We stopped on site to visit, back home after our tour of the 5 Terre and the Gulf of poets. Clearly does not enjoy the same reputation as the other aforementioned Arcola town, however it is a really cute borghetto deserves to be visited. The "flyover country" (clearly the oldest) dominates majestically the communal area, doing fine show already far behind as soon as he looks at the top (the imposing Castle for as on the horizon). Going by car to the Center, you must travel the narrow road (under the accommodation during our visit) that leads to the village; definitely not easy to find parking (limited seats available), but we were lucky in that respect. Walking through the paths one can thus appreciate an urban settlement really peculiar and times almost fairytale; cobblestone streets and arcades, rough stones and strings combined with some "spots of green" (allow me the expression) here and there, give this place a very special atmosphere and evocative. The end point of the walk is the beautiful central square, which is also more scenic space of the village; near the same you can also admire the municipal seat and the lovely pentagonal tower of the Obertenghi. From there, it descends along a pleasant little street thus completing your own spin. If this little gem was located elsewhere would enjoy a different reputation, but that does not invalidate the value. Village to discover which of course I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.View original
Ahimè ahimè che bel posto mal tenuto e mal gestito. Al contrario di certi borghi vicini come Castelnuovo Magra o Vezzano Arcola è sporca a trascurata. Perchè? Colpa dell'amministrazione o dei cittadin... more »Alas, alas, that nice place overgrown and unkept. Unlike some nearby villages such as Castelnuovo Magra or Vezzano Arcola is dirty to neglected. Why? Fault of the administration or of citizens who do not like this place?. Patience for the tall grass and not treated but how do you endure garbage overflowing from dumpsters in the summer but even in winter? How do you endure wild parking that prevents to move pedestrians, circular machines but even access the most beautiful church. Great place but really managed by dogs as well as inhabited by uncivilized. I still think the province of Spezia together in Carrara is more like cert, I emphasize some, corners of southern ancotra in the hands of the incivility. But luckily the South is changing instead of Liguria. . Shame because the location is great.View original

What makes it special though is that he's still alive and inhabited. Also some areas a little "sgarrupate" make it far more genuine than villages of holiday homes. Location close to everything, great view of the confluence of Val di Vara and lean, funny cats who hang upon while walking, lovely ...View original

Massimo OrganistaHi we are two residents in Evesham Sarzana side ... place abandoned to itself ... we do not have sidewalks, weeds and obstacles to pedestrian roads have the upper hand, in favour of cars whizzing by in spite of the town. We do not know who put the problem and if there is a solution. A help? Some advice? Thank you for your attention. Delia and Antonia (nearby)View original
Riccardo RiccardiI confirm to the camera. Pay special attention to "location" to "fornola arcola bridge" (long, straight Avenue in lowered limit 50 kmh), Arcola industrial area (50 km/h). Tutor (the only one in Italy not in Highway) between Rahul and Senate (50kmh)View original
