  • Accessed by following a path that starts from the basilica of Santa Maria Assunta. The ruins give a good idea of the grandeur of the port. On the Internet you can view wonderful animated reconstructions which help to understand the commercial and commercial function that Aquileia developed. With other animations you will have an idea still in the role of Roman Aquileia

  • walking nicely on a wide dirt path, but very well maintained, passing next to the remains of the quay of the river port of Aquileia old, you look closely some leftovers from the warehouses where they were stored the goods on departure or arrival, you can see the hooks where they tie the boats. phenomenal!

  • You can get there by a path that starts from the right side of the Basilica and running then all over your back. Impressive ruins are what must have been a great port. Note the perfection of the walls of support boats and docking port line steps. Around the middle of the Harbour, a large number of relics testifies again the greatness of Aquileia. Curious to see the remains of the Harbour and across all the remains of the Forum, and in the middle between the two quite a football field: strange that there hasn't been found anything!!
