  • Just off the main street of the city lies this important sacred art complex, consisting of the collegiate church, the Romanesque Bell Tower and the charming cloister adjacent to the collegiata itself. The Church dates from the 10th century in it you can admire a valuable wooden choir, Ottonian frescoes and in front of the altar a mosaic found during excavations in 1999. On the right aisle is the ancient Church: + crypt where the altar is a statue of St. Orso's patron saint. At the side of the collegiate church a cloister supported by small columns with capitals decorated with religious reasons different from one another. This is a charming complex to be admired in the historic city centre.

  • We visited Aosta in a single day and unfortunately got to this wonderful Church we could not enter because there was a function but we enjoyed the splendid cloister, jewel of the monumental complex of Sant'Orso, accessible through a doorway opened on the right side of the façade. In this place you can enjoy the peace that reigns and simultaneously admire the architecture. The vaults are supported by pilasters and coupled with a series of simple columns and capitals forming part of the cloister, artistically more important symbolic of the new and old testament scenes depict admirably, the life of Sant'Orso, characters and fantastic animals or contain different stationery.

  • Nice all the whole Church, the tower and the medieval cloister. It is one of 4 places to see in the ticket at 7 euros, must see. Nice to be able to go down in the basement and see the remains of ancient tombs

  • Don't miss the cloister; jewel of the monumental complex of Sant'Orso, accessible through a doorway opened on the right side of the façade. The capitals, sculpted in marble, symbolic of the new and old testament scenes depict admirably, the life of Sant'Orso, characters and fantastic animals or contain different stationery. Are considered among the highest expressions of Romanesque sculpture.
