Lago di Anterselva, Anterselva di Mezzo

At the end of the Antholz Valley, centrally located within the Rieserferner Ahrn Nature Park, is the blue-green Lago di Anterselva. The third-largest lake in the mountains of South Tyrol, this calm body of water is surrounded by green meadows. With a surface area of 44 hectares (110 acres), the lake is the perfect size for strolling around on the recently established path. According to local legend, the area that the lake covers was once occupied by three farms, which were subsequently destroyed by a flash flood because the farmers refused to help a poor beggar. Lake of modest size that can easily be reached on foot from the car park next door. You can make without much trouble around the Lake also with small children and strollers. Pristine and orderly. Beautiful forest that embraces him. Not suitable for swimming.

Always fascinating but not over time. It is nice to relax and even turn it on foot. There are also challenging tracks for walkers in the high mountains.

Stroll around the lovely Lake and not difficult for kids as well. Catering services excellent. From there starting point for walks up to stallersattel.
