  • Basilica di San Ciitatica Basilica (Italian: Basilica Cattedrale Metropolitana di San Ciriaco) is the Catholic cathedral in the archdiocese of Ancona-Osimo, the sanctuary of the Roman Catholic Pope, and St. Cyclone, dedicated to Ancona. The building is a mix of Roman, Byzantine and Gothic styles, and is located on the ruins of the ancient Greek Acropolis, overlooking Ancona and its bay. Next to the museum there is a history of the church. It was built to coincide with the rest of the most famous church in Europe, regrettably, it has never been completely completed. As long as you stay in the church, you will be shocked by its gorgeous interior. And that library is just too shocking. Only the mosaic on the ground, may not have the world shoulder to shoulder with it. Tickets include many different areas, the dome requires an appointment and an extra charge, all to go to at least half a day. Exterior is built of pink masonry, the interior is the gorgeous church, from the murals to the marble floor tiles and religious forums are impressive, it is worth to climb up the high point of Sienna tour. This 13th century built church is one of Italy's most impressive churches. Two Michelangelo's sculptures are highlights, but there are many other artwork in the church. Piccolini's library frescoes are impressive, as are painted ceilings and patterned choir books. The cathedral is very beautiful, the library inside is also great. Tickets include a view over a tower - it's really disappointing (read my commentary). This is really different from the cathedral I've ever seen. I've seen a lot. As you can see extraordinary chic, perhaps in Toledo, Spain, the cathedral can be compared with it. Siena must-visit attractions!
  • Ancona Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Ancona, Basilica Cattedrale Metropolitana di San Ciriaco) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Ancona, central Italy, dedicated to Saint Cyriacus of Ancona. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Ancona. The building is an example of mixed Romanesque-Byzantine and Gothic elements, and stands on the site of the former acropolis of the Greek city, the Guasco hill which overlooks Ancona and its gulf.
