Duomo of Ancona or the central Church of the Ancona city is located in a strategic point on a top hill in the city near old port of Ancona. It is a beautiful architectural buidling with a life more than a millennium, visible from different parts of the city and outskirts. In the basement of the church there are tombs of saints including that of the guardian saint Cyriacus of the Ancona city.
Wonderful place. Our cruise ship docked nearby so we went to visit this place.
Beautiful Romanic cathedral located on a hill dominating the port of Ancona. Great panorama from there. The church is over 1000 years old and was built over a Greek temple.
