Categories: Churches, Tourist Spots
A domed cathedral overlooking Ancona’s port, Cattedrale San Ciriaco offers amazing views. The interior features marble structures and a glass floor, through which you can see the remains of an early Christian church. The exterior is usually the highlight for visitors, with its Romanesque architecture. If you have the time, take out a boat to view the church from the sea. Cattedrale San Ciriaco is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Ancona Edition.

The cathedral was closed the day I visited, so can't comment on the inside. Externally, it's attractive, great views, and worth the many steps to reach.
