Villa San Michele, Anacapri
Categories: History Museums, Historic Sites, Museums, Tourist Spots
Villa San Michele displays antiquities from Rome and Egypt, and works as recent as the 20th century. The impressive surrounding gardens are filled with statues and objects created from marble, stone, wood, ceramic, and terracotta. Ivy has overgrown the figures in some areas, but that only adds to the beauty of the park. Plan to see Villa San Michele and other attractions that appeal to you using our Anacapri tourist route planner.

This place is beautiful and one of the best 'homes' I have ever visited. The style, the views and the history of the man who created it. It is a peaceful haven away from the crowds. I did not thing it... read more »
Beautiful Museum that shows well how Munthe not only dreamed of a house on Capri island but also realized that dream. And boy! What a job he did! Make sure to explore every path and peek around every corner, there are lots of hidden gems of beauty to be seen. Also, unlike most museums the caffe at VSM is well worth a visit, excellent snacks, fresh pressed juice and a post-card view! I take one star away because 7€ entry fee is a bit steep.
Very beautiful view of Florence from the hotel. Very beautiful garden and the restaurant here is unforgettable for special dinner!
The Villa is nice but not sure its worth €7 entree fee. The view of the sphinx is the only thing to impress you here unless you really dig some old furniture
Try climbing the stairs, if you dare! When you get to the top, you will love it, no matter what you find there. Villa filled with random artifacts, but has a nice feel. If you are a crazy fan of Axel Munte, you have to do the pilgrimage once in a lifetime. It will probably be enough. When you make the trip, do not waste the opportunity and visit Anacapri with its beautiful yellow coloured tile work. Especially the benches are lovely and easy to photograph with a nice girl sitting on. St Michael church is a must with its tiled floor.
Excellent views and a great walk down via the Phoenician Steps
