Blue Grotto, Anacapri
(2.3/5 based on 2,800+ reviews on the web)
Explore the illuminated blue waters in the cavern of Blue Grotto. This cave on the island of Capri stretches 60 m (196 ft) into the cliffside. The intense blue coloring comes from the light conditions specific to the narrow cavern. Take a small rowboat through the entrance of the cave to witness the glowing water. Well-known for its acoustics, you can listen to the boat workers singing their favorite opera pieces, adding to the cave's atmosphere. Plan your Blue Grotto visit and explore what else you can see and do in Anacapri using our Anacapri vacation planner.

  • A unique beauty if you go to capri do not have that stop going tomato the collective to the cave and from there make a queue to take a raft that gets YOU in the cave if you go by boat from the port you get more expensive

  • The island of Capri is a beautiful scandal, is undeniable, the Blue Grotto is an adventure, a lot depends on the tide, you descend the stairs to wait for the boatman, the entrance is tiny you will be instructed to lie down, and really the color of the water is amazing ... as soon as you enter, drive your look at the entry, especially if you sit in front of the cave at the entrance as it is at the entrance of light that you will achieve the best video and photos ... The boatmen do the route in less than 01min. singing the famous song "Volare, oh oh" visited in September and was still very disputed, I was wrong with the overly fast time in the tour, you have the expression of "OHHHHHH what a beautiful" in the blink of an eye it's over, I don't recall the amount charged individually, but it's hard to be in Capri and not visit it!!!

  • We went from Sorrento to Capri on a fairly large and comfortable boat. After Capri and Anacapri decided to take a boat smaller than (quite uncomfortable and for my taste was moving much) to go all around the island. It was very nice. The landscape is amazing. The island viewed from some distance is beautiful. But with respect to the Blue Grotto, only saw it from the outside (the color is amazing) as well as the other caves of other colors. That boat not entered within the caves. We were not prevented or not informed us well. It seems that you have to take another even smaller boat. Anyway, what you see is fascinating. It seems lie that water changes color several times throughout the tour. For this reason, if they go to Capri, find out which trip is complete. Happened to us that there was no place. Luckily found that boat, which unfortunately was mostly occupied by German tourists, with a guided tour, of course in German! Anyway, and despite these drawbacks, it was a very interesting experience.
