  • A place wonder of approx. 3'000 years BC BC made up of graves dug into the ground. Attention, not recommended if the Sun is strong because there is no shade for shelter during the visit.

  • Great to see but you can't look at the graves take because of too low and dangerous. In addition, it was 42 ° therefore not advisable on such a hot day.

  • For us it was the first such visit to the necropolis in Sardinia. Was definitely worth it. .. Admission, we bought a combined including the Nuraghe di Palmavera, IE. cheaper. Verdo was horrible, after it was tombs more challenging. There are approximately 40 tombs and their design and architecture is really breathtaking. A small Chamber, where you need to stretch, crawl through, knees, etc.. Nothing for fat men. In a couple of rooms is a well-preserved small "decorating"-it will alert you to the sign placed in front of the entrance to the Tomb. For history lovers in good shape ...

  • While interesting in historical terms, the place is not visually impressive, and the tombs/graves interiors are not accessible in a way you would expect from leaflets and guidebooks. Think of it as a small golf course with dramatically oversized and somewhat antique ball holes :)
  • 3000 years old necropolis, marvelous and educating
  • Interesting archaeological site, it could improve by adding lighting in graves more features and reproductions of artifacts stored in museums of Cagliari and Sassari.

  • Extensive necropolis includes about twenty tombs carved underground. The tombs are narrow and practically no visitable. You can see them from above/outside. Visually, and as experience in General, do not generate the same awe of nuraghi or tombs of the Giants. I still recommend to visit them given the magnitude and historical significance of the site. Best in the late afternoon during the summer.

  • The domus de janas necropolis largest in Sardinia, of extreme importance in the Mediterranean. To visit with a guide at the site you will find people who will illustrate the most of this magical place

Where to stay in Alghero

Compared to Sardinia's other resorts, Alghero offers refreshingly unpretentious lodgings, with comfortable rooms, good food, and friendly locals willing to share insider's tips about the best beaches, clubs, and restaurants. Staying in the compact town center can be quite pricey, but it's the best way to stay close to both good beaches and the most popular nightclubs. If budget is a concern, explore small hotels in the suburbs.
