Create an itinerary including Frecce delle Grotte di Antonio Piccinnu
Explore ancient cave dwellings on the Island of Sardinia at Frecce delle Grotte di Antonio Piccinnu. Discovered by fishermen in the 18th century, the cave is just above sea level and accessible only when the water is calm via a steep staircase cut into sheer cliff wall. Take a guided tour through the narrow, 4 km (2.5 mi) long cave system to admire the stalagmite and stalactite formations. You can take a boat to the cave from the port of Alghero to view the island's coastline from the water. • The place is so good and the long boat ride seeing the cliffs was awesome. The boat ride to the caves was 40 minutes and costed 15 euros.
  • Good afternoon, there was one tour at 10, one at 3 pm that day. Nice tour sailors, really helpful. They maybe could give us more details about the region/environment. Really hot on the boat so don’t forget sunscreen and water!!
  • This is a trip you must do. The Grotte is a wonderful sight to see (price is completely seperate to the boat ride out and my experience is that you are told this) I have seen dolphins on 2 trips out to the Grotte and Steps. The crew on Debora are great. Very welcoming and hospitable. Coffee and refreshments are served on board ☕️
  • Very beautiful grote. Amazing structure and very hard to get in....
  • Really disappointed. We took the boat and they didn't say anything bad about the weather. We arrived to the grotto and they decided to go back because of the waves (I found this OK, but is not like they can't know this before going, specially because it wasn't the first boat today and there was another one on the site dropping off some passengers). The trip per se is nothing amazing, it was fine though, we took the boat because there are not buses on Sunday 😢
