  • The Basilica is dedicated to Saints Cosmas and Damian, Saints of Alberobello; the neoclassical façade is built by the Architect Antonio Curri who has two bell towers, but has no octagonal cupola is from 1885, access is possible by a great staircase punctuated by columns and pilasters.

  • The Basilica that rises near the sovereign Trullo, born on the ruins of an older church dedicated to Santa Maria delle Grazie, recalls the stylistic form of trulli, while retaining a Renaissance architectural footprint mold. The façade is neoclassic, punctuated by columns and pilasters and a large entrance stairway gives it greater grandeur-Belle appear the two bell towers on which are respectively installed a traditional watch and solar one. The Interior is quite bare, has small altars and altar has behind the statues and relics of Saint Cosmas and Damian

  • This Basilica is not located at the trulli village, mar slightly lower than Trulli Sovrano. The facade is beautiful but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the Basilica closed at our visit.

  • Beautiful Basilica!!! Very interesting things to see inside
  • Beautiful church, decorated in lovley rose tones.
  • Very nice cathedral devoted to the St Cosmos & St Damien
  • Go to Alberobello rightly to see trulli, then all of a sudden, as we head to the Trullo Sovrano more isolated than the other, comes the surprise that you do not expect, the Basilica of S.S. Cosma and Damiano. The neoclassical façade immediately captures your attention by its grandeur and beauty, with local calcareous stone sculptures carved and worked variously. Very nice two steeples in overlapping cells which accommodate one a clock and a sundial. I found myself strolling in the early afternoon and was unfortunately closed, so I can't make judgments on the interiors, but between a trullo, even just the façade, a step it deserves. Nearby, in addition, there are numerous car parks that, being close to the area of trulli, be kept in mind.

  • the neo-Gothic church dominates the city. The exterior is striking for the grandeur, especially of the two bell towers. The Interior houses over the venerable effigies anargiri, a very important cycle of frescoes by Adolfo Rollo.
