  • Attributed to the eternal home of the Orazi e Curiazi (historians are of the same opinion), it would be very nice if poured into a State of advanced decay. Swallowed up by weeds and draped with a perennial scaffolding, passes absolutely undetected, considering that is not located on a main road, it is practically invisible.

  • Among the many things to see along the via Appia Antica, are the so-called tomb of the Orazi and Curiazi. Two heaps for gli Orazi, one for the three Curiatii indicate, in the tradition of the graves of these men. This is because it seems that in this place, where the via Appia marks a short detour before resuming his straight path, there was the famous battle that decided the supremacy of Rome on Alba Longa and throughout the territory of Lazio. In truth the mounds mark probably a place where funeral rites were celebrated and cremations could in particular.

  • I live near this monument very very old. It is left to himself I think always, sometimes shave a bit of erba.....ma there is a plaque and even an inscription indicating the name, or a bit of history. Fortunately, there is a school.
