  • The site from a geological point of view is of significant importance because it is one of the rare examples of sedimentary volcanism, a phenomenon limited to an area of Central Sicily between the provinces of Caltanissetta, Enna and Agrigento, caused by the presence in clay soils, water level overhanging salmastrache little bubbles of methane gas. Too bad he's not open to visitors, as the whole area was seized due to an accident that occurred in 2014. The staggering thing however is the absence of communications on the continuing closure of the site, at least in addition to directional signs: in a nutshell, just come on places you realize that you can visit. Congratulations for your organization!

  • It's all in the title: after not bad riding to get there, we could only see no signs.

  • This site, extremely interesting from a geological point of view, is currently closed, is not allowed in that area under sequestration. It's a real shame, it should be allowed at least a partial examination on its own responsibility and with the knowledge of the risks involved due to the nature of the terrain.
