  • Truely a must see when on a trip around Sicily. Beautiful temples and overall well preserved structures. Bring plenty of drinking water & hats during summer season (April through to September).  more »
  • We took a trip from Palermo to Villa dei Templi and it was much better than expected. We took a private guide who told us about the wonderful history of this place and made the trip even more...  more »
  • Wonderful and magical place! Amazing history by the sea! I was happily suprised by how well the path to see the sights has plaques with great information. Wow! Just wow!  more »
  • A fabulous place. An archaeological site, one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture. It takes at least a day to cover the area and may be more to truly understand the history. The place is always crowded like any other famous tourist sites, therefore it's hard to take photo of the sites without human crawling all over the places. It's a bit far from the city center. Therefore, you should take a bus early to arrive there around 8 before the sites open to be the first tourist to enter, then quickly take photos of the places you like. The signs of the temples are informative but not quite sufficient if you love history. I advise to get an audio tour which is available in several languages including English so you can follow and see the story that connect all the sites together. It is worth the money. If you travel there in summer, it's super hot and almost no shade at all. So be sure to bring water and get hydrated, if you enjoy history like I do, you may have to spend a day under the sun. I in fact visit it twice.
  • Beautiful place. Been driving 2 hours and i can say that the trip was worth. Take the ticket that includes the trip through the gardens, they are beautiful. We started from the top then went down into the valley. We could've taken the taxi back up to the parking lot but id say it's not worth it.
  • Really interesting place. Temples are beautiful. Great views. Worth the extra €5 to visit the gardens and you get given a free orange at the end. Entry price is €12 plus €5 extra for the gardens. You can hire an audio guide for €5 but you have to double back and return it to the entrance so we didnt bother.
  • An historical site which is truly one of a kind. Getting there is pretty complex - you need to park and then take a shuttle. The shuttle leaves only after the it gets full, which is not comfortable if you’re there for a limited time.
  • This is an amazing site that really can't be missed, we drove from Noto and it was worth the journey. The place has lots of detailed information and it's nice to see temples in various conditions. The scale of them is breathtaking, it is worth walking around the site to the Roman Quarter/Area where there are some wonderfully preserved mosaics and settlement.
