Tempio della Concordia, Agrigento

Categories: Ruins, Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.8/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web
Dedicated to the Roman goddess Concordia, Tempio della Concordia rests at the western end of the forum. The temple has been destroyed many times. Tiberius, Emperor Augustus' stepson, last restoration it between 7 and 10 CE. The structure is at the foot of Capitoline Hill because of the area's geography of the hill. You'll notice strange floor plans and rooms that are not proportionate. This site was something of an art museum in Tiberius' day, when Greek paintings and sculpture were displayed between the colorful marble columns. • I think it's one of the most beautiful and best preserved in the world. With the sunset light acquit political tone Raissa charm ... not to be missed

  • I'd always go breakfast in Agrigento. I think it's easier if you go on a tour, but from Agrigento city bus ride went. Temple near the road as well as sneakers and would not even think to the bus stop of the city bus round trip walk 5 kilometers. We recommend so many tour groups, go in the early hours of the morning. 1 long resting place because water was required.

  • An amazing place where you can find pre historic Greek architectural ruins. In summer it gets really hot. The ticket cost around 3-5 Euros! It is worth a visit! Cheers and have fun!
  • The valley of the temples is unmissable in Sicily. An amazing archaeological site surrounded by beautiful country.
  • Drove from Palermo to see and it was worth the two hour drive. This place is truly amazing.
  • Amazing site. Would recommend parking at the eastern end and joining one of the tour groups by the entrance - we paid €10 each and having the guide was well worth it to learn more about the temples and surrounding area.
  • A must visit if you are in the area! Truly a spectacular experience!
