Tempio della Concordia, Agrigento

(4.8/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web)
Dedicated to the Roman goddess Concordia, Tempio della Concordia rests at the western end of the forum. The temple has been destroyed many times. Tiberius, Emperor Augustus' stepson, last restoration it between 7 and 10 CE. The structure is at the foot of Capitoline Hill because of the area's geography of the hill. You'll notice strange floor plans and rooms that are not proportionate. This site was something of an art museum in Tiberius' day, when Greek paintings and sculpture were displayed between the colorful marble columns. Put Tempio della Concordia and other Agrigento attractions into our Agrigento trip itinerary builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Near gate 1 in the Valley of the Temples, the Temple of Concord is very well preserved and rivals the Parthenon. Visitors can no longer walk through, but exterior views are spectacular.  more »
  • All just beautiful. One of the most beautiful place of western Sicily. Temple must not to be missed.

  • This is an amazing place. You need a good few hours to walk around and some decent shoes - it killed both our pairs of walking sandals! It is well worth it though. The best option is to walk the film route but for €3 you can get a bus one way. There is a cafe on site. Confusingly you pay for the food first then give your ticket to the ladies who heat it up for you.
  • Great historical site. Good amount to see. Best with a tour guide to provide extra information.
  • Nice place to stay. Entrance Fee is 10€ per person. Parking costs extra but there are some places around the parking area which are free
  • The most impressive there is of course the temple of Concordia, as the best preserved one. The only this spot is enough to get there without any doubt. Be prepared however to walk and walk and walk, three hours of walking at least.
  • If you're a tourist visiting Sicily then I will highly recommend this place...you ll feel like you re in the ancient days when you get I just loved it😍
