We were in Punta bianca on August 17, recommended by the hotel to which we had asked for directions to spend the day on a beautiful uncrowded beach. It actually is not easy, because the dirt road leading there is, especially at the end, a little rough but passable without too much difficulty. Just before they reached the cliff, characterised by a ruined house was once the seat of the guardia di finanza, you can stop at the Villa of the Emperor, a resting place where we could soon have fresh water and sandwiches. Here they explained that the State of the road is due to the military exercises carried out during the winter. We parked in a clearing just above the cliff, flanked by a pebble beach where we placed our umbrella. We had a great day, without being disturbed by noisy crowds. We were up at sunset to watch the spectacle of the Sun disappears behind the horizon line. Of course, it is not recommended for lazy because to get to the beach you have to go down a steep hill and then a narrow dusty trail (which obviously must be retreaded uphill on the way back). We did not find garbage, just so quiet, partly because the few bathers present were looking for our own peace.

Spectacular white cliffs where the blue sea. Very difficult to get to, follow the signs to San Leo, then to Susan and then there are a few signs to white tip and a dirt road that starts them hard to take, especially as tight and both ways. Cautiously you progress into the middle of nowhere. We also have the wrong way, since there are several streets that cross each other but then even asking people you get and it's easier than what you had in mind. Yes leaves the car, in a clearing and you are walking down a street and show them!! Uncrowded precisely because of difficulties in reaching it, frequented mainly by locals, quiet, peaceful and rilasaante. There are two options: the part with the white cliff, very impressive, where there is also a ruined house, with a smaller beach with bathing possibilities a bit limited, otherwise leaving the machine a bit before you go down a path that leads to a free beach for a swim. Recommended to bring water because there are absolutely no facilities (there is barely the road) bathing shoes, and shoes to go into paths.

Nice place, but be careful, there are two ways to go there, one is terrible ( we thougt we have to go back, really bad) and is the one recommended in google maps. The other path is ok.  more »
