  • Agrigento Cathedral was built in the 11st century the Norman course. Then he rebuilt, and in 17 century it remade in the best traditions of the Baroque style. Not much to see inside the Cathedral, all the forests going restoration. But still the forests were able to see the beautiful ceiling and frescoes. Yes, and another body. But Woods these are, of course, greatly detracts from the experience. Will get there after the restoration?

  • We arrived at the Cathedral, which within itself is under renovation, so for the 60% is not visible. With the payment of four euros per person we visited the sanctuary and a chapel, in addition to the visit to the room of the "Devil's letter" and point at the height of the canopy (from which you can observe closely the wooden ceiling), and the Diocesan Museum.

  • There are very substantial work in the Cathedral but it is true the place, the medieval façade, the ceiling illustrates as well as its baroque altar richly illustrated make a discreet but grandiose building.

  • Pay the 3 euro to get access to the tower and chapel its well worth it with a great view of the city, easily the best church in agrigento. Its under restoration and probably will be for years but it's very cool to see the work that's been done so far. You'll get your workout getting there be ready to climb some steps. This might be my favorite church in Sicily so far don't miss it.
  • The Cathedral of Agrigento, now closed, is definitely a place to visit

  • In the southern façade of the tower are obvious decorative bullets of plateresque decoration, with blind Windows and the coat of arms of Montaperto eroded by time, in the collection is the happy combination dictated by the juxtaposition of styles.
