  • Michelin said that the Cathedral is closed for work for an indefinite period. It's true that if we're looking for clear information in the official sites, we will not be disappointed. On the diocese website, you will have a visit to drone which will show you that it may be worth trying to enter. The forecourt is visibly blocked for a long time. On the other hand on the side of town, you have a monumental staircase that leads you to a side entrance. A € 3 ticket gives you access to the Bell Tower, from where you will have the same views as the drone, and the choir stucco are the level of some of Palermo.

  • Very pompous Baroque inside. At a cost of 3 euros the ticket there is a chance to get on the Bell Tower, see the rosette and the letter of the Devil (a legend) on the top floor of the aisle from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the historical centre perched and the sea in the background. Then you can log in from close to the Baroque altar and see a copy of the shroud.

  • Beautiful religious architecture, whose façade and steps are only visible through a hole in the fence of those renovations that are lasting decades. The Interior cordoned off and inaccessible areas of the central nave and left side, is really impressive. Beautiful baroque presbytery and chapels decorated with stuccoes and paintings from the 17th century, but even more so the wooden ceiling trusses totally painted with traditional Sicilian motifs. Dear players, very skilled and available offer visits to different environments as the sacristies, the Museum and Bell Tower. Do not miss the Chapel and the urn of San Gerlando, the protector of Agrigento. Shame you can't try the phenomenon of spokespeople, or talking softly with his mouth near the apse you can hear clearly what is being said by placing your ear on the entrance portal. Miracles of tufa stone. Safar is remarkable!
