  • A church, it is baroque, the front pretty well made. The Interior is very worked but also very white, no glitz here. But let's be honest, with all the churches of Sicily, you know - you? For information on the walks and the monuments I recommend downloading the application of free city (in English).

  • The climb will take you devoutly walk towards Duomo starts here, but it's still worthwhile.

  • Church of San Lorenzo (also known as the Church of Purgatorio-purgatory, since it is dedicated to the souls in purgatory) was built in the middle of the 17th century and is a luxurious Baroque monument. Stucco on the facade, paintings and sculpture inside the Church will not leave indifferent judges of Italian art. The truth is a little façade could be started and bring it into order.

  • Exquisite facade with impressive sculptural works, friendly staff and a beautiful interior.
  • Nice outside It was closed saturday afternoon
  • Very interesting the whole Church, but a small dose of attention at statues attributed to Serpotta is a must. Are statues representing so very loyal local Sicilian beauties. Faces that are strolling down the via Atenea.

  • Purgatory church or San Lorenzo (now Deconsecrated) XV-XVI century in Baroque style. Inside the building, with a single nave, has sculptures given traditionally to Giacomo Serpotta. The ceiling has a false dome.

  • Here there was a meeting of study among architects, we were fine. The Interior is very impressive, rich in decorative plasters, paintings and a fake dome preabsidale very impressive. Bears a fresco tromp oleyl (1767, Michele Narbone) that some excitement the suggests. 1650 Church is Baroque, the nave is enhanced by the presence of eight statues of the Serpotta representing its virtues.
