  • We had a great day. For 8 euro visited gardens and Interior, unfortunately the Park was already closed for the winter. But the garden is beautiful, with fountains, statues and beautiful trees. There is also a greenhouse type dominated by green, with vines that cover the walls and ceiling. The view then the front gate is stunning, perhaps thanks to the autumn colors. We continued inside with a guide really prepared and nice lady who explained in detail the various rooms and various anecdotes of court life. Just to think that there are enough funds to keep these beauties ... is more than a shame. I would have paid even more to contribute to stay alive these pearls of Piedmont.

  • Saturday, October 29. Departure for Aosta Valley. We decide to stop at the castle of Agliè. Like many other castles in Italy seen from the outside is beautiful, majestic, imposing, with Park and gardens. Just trying to imagine what life was like at the Court, but not only at the Court, all those years ago. Remains the usual question: within there will still be something to see? Drum roll ... ... .... well siiiiiiii. There's plenty to see. The guide that leads us around the castle is actually one of the keepers of the Castle (but for us it was a very nice and well prepared woman who did not have anything to envy to a patented Guide). Truly one of the few castles that still offer an incredible array of rooms and remained faithful to the original. Since the paths change during the year, it is best to call them and ask questions. Next time we will be back to see the kitchens. Super recommended. Nadia and David
