Already from the courtyard you understand what you will find inside, cleanliness, tidiness and attention to detail. Thanks to a friendly professionalism of Matthew, we discover the history of this Winery, named Contadi Castaldi in the events that gave rise to the land of Franciacorta. Version for tourists and historical version. The visit makes us switch from steel to crush the grapes gently presses, tanks, barrels and finally to bottles that into various sizes keep safe the precious liquid. Then the tasting that closes with a flourish. Us, for a lucky accident, we were able to sample as many as six types of wine from a Saten to a Pinot Noir. A vertical of flavors that makes you dizzy. We also found an excellent group of visitors who shared with us this morning. To be repeated several times.

We visited the winery Summer Festival with tour + tasting of 2 wines priced at 15 euros per person. Busy day, different people (the Group was about 20-25 people), but all managed to perfection by Flavio Guide; eccentric, but pleasant and very limited in the explanation. La cantina is fantastic, modern and elegant on the outside, but ancient and interesting inside. Contadi Castaldi takes advantage of an ancient furnace, where leave their bottles on the Lees, managing to produce more than 1 million bottles per year. If you want to visit a winery visit Contadi Castaldi and hope that guide you, it will not be too technical in describing the wine, but you will appreciate the nature, the company and the territory. The wines we tasted Dry and the Satèn, are more than excellent. Very palatable, almost more as an aperitif than by dine, but definitely noticeable when compared to other products by companies in the area. The prices are average of other holdings, about 17 euros for the Dry and more than 20 euros for the Satèn.

Sunday at 12.30, stumbled in front of this cellar from which was leaving a group after a visit organized. They welcomed with courtesy and they proposed some tastings, visit no, is by reservation only. After the wine tasting fantastic we went to the store where we bought a few bottles.

  • Very Interesting Experience👍
  • One of the most reputable wineries contadi Castaldi: and appreciated by all. Great products, initially very strong on Saten but then raised to high levels on all types of products. Beautiful location, cured and elegant. Personally I think the quality of the cooking a bit subdued. Prices obviously high, get what you pay ...

  • Wine cellar converted from a former Brickyard that offers guided tours with wine tasting in an elegant atmosphere with a warm welcome. Parking lot next to the store and you need to book your visit.
