  • If you like contemporary art you can't miss this Museum, unique in its kind. The undisputed star of MACA is Silvio Vigliaturo was born in Acri. This artist is considered a master of a unique glass Fusion technique, which consists in melting of glass with other materials such as iron, gold etc. thus creating unique sculptures of incredible beauty and elegance and unusual shapes. In addition to glass sculptures is a little all the artistic activity of the master, from the first sketches to paintings, from small iron sculptures to portraits and much more. In addition to the works of the Museum also holds temporary exhibitions of van Roy other artists. The Museum entrance is completely free and if you want (I recommend it) an expert guide will follow you in the discovery of these works (available for free). Maca is also situated in a historical building from the 17th century, the summer residence of the Prince Sanseverino, occupying some thirty rooms of the Palace. If you find yourself in and around Acres I recommend to visit this Museum and this Palace, you will have the opportunity to see an exhibition of works that are unique in the world.
