  • I don't think this is open to the public. It is in a quaint town with a great blues festival in the summer. A friend of mine owns what used to be the observation tower for the fortress. Mantis to sell...  more »

  • Lovely place to visit. Great gelato in the town.
  • Location very impressive 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape. The village itself is very nice, the garden and the exteriors of the castle can be visited for free, while for a few euros you can visit the Interior of the castle with a guided tour. Unfortunately it is not yet possible to visit the towers and part of the building has undergone many changes due to different properties. Worth a visit because, despite many vicissitudes is really well maintained and girls caring for guided tours are nice and very prepared.

  • Of ancient origin, the castle of Torre Alfina has always had great strategic importance due to its geographical position between the borders of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. After vicissitudes that occurred over the centuries, in 1880 Guido Bourbon del Monte sold the Castle and all the property (with twenty-six farms) at Belgian Jew banker Edward Cahen. These then I change ' out of whole cloth, giving the current neo-Gothic appearance, playing the ancient building with gray stone of Bagnoregio and making some structural changes. Then, after various vicissitudes, the Castle passed into the hands of the famous Luciano Gaucci, former President of Perugia Calcio: when the entrepreneur has failed the Castle passed into the hands of the Court of Perugia, who, failing to sell it, by 2014 the has outsourced to the family of entrepreneurs Boscolo, famous in the restaurant business. These by 2014 have reopened to visitors and use it as a location for weddings, conventions, luxury villa.
