  • We start from the fact that it is private and open only in a few days, check back on the website, I got there it was closed but as they were preparing a show I could access the Italian garden. Its architecture has been much altered over the centuries. The village is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy but in addition to the castle there is not much else. Around the castle to visit the forest of foreign objects and the nature reserve of Monte Rufeno.

  • A few km from orvieto, the village of Torre Alfina is a must! A mix between the middle ages and modern times all seasoned with a magical silence and a fairy tale Castle. The Castle offers guided historical tours and is a particular location for weddings and celebrations of all kinds! Try the cream of Saavedra and Bon Appetit!

  • Torre Alfina the view from afar. In fact, the Castle stands on the village and is very quaint. A real castle. A nice walk through the narrow streets, very well kept, a pleasant chat with two "locals" (you see that you live without great stress) and ... got to the top, the castle is closed. Open Saturday and Sunday, by appointment, hoping that there are no events or weddings. True you already admire it from the outside repays the climb, but "oso" and call the caretaker's cell. A dear Sir (Empire its name ... big) opens us to the only visit of the gardens (of course they're setting up for a wedding). With "only" tells us a little of history (on my stings on Gaucci, former owner ... smiles) and all the travails that the site has endured. Beautiful grounds, I can also do a couple of pictures to some internal (gorgeous) and away happy. Thanks Empire. Village and fairytale Castle.

  • Lovely place to visit. Great gelato in the town.
  • Location very impressive 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape. The village itself is very nice, the garden and the exteriors of the castle can be visited for free, while for a few euros you can visit the Interior of the castle with a guided tour. Unfortunately it is not yet possible to visit the towers and part of the building has undergone many changes due to different properties. Worth a visit because, despite many vicissitudes is really well maintained and girls caring for guided tours are nice and very prepared.

  • Of ancient origin, the castle of Torre Alfina has always had great strategic importance due to its geographical position between the borders of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. After vicissitudes that occurred over the centuries, in 1880 Guido Bourbon del Monte sold the Castle and all the property (with twenty-six farms) at Belgian Jew banker Edward Cahen. These then I change ' out of whole cloth, giving the current neo-Gothic appearance, playing the ancient building with gray stone of Bagnoregio and making some structural changes. Then, after various vicissitudes, the Castle passed into the hands of the famous Luciano Gaucci, former President of Perugia Calcio: when the entrepreneur has failed the Castle passed into the hands of the Court of Perugia, who, failing to sell it, by 2014 the has outsourced to the family of entrepreneurs Boscolo, famous in the restaurant business. These by 2014 have reopened to visitors and use it as a location for weddings, conventions, luxury villa.
