An exciting visit as regards in particular the crypt inside which has been reproduced on the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, where houses of stones that they say have been watered by the blood of Jesus. I recommend, if it's a nice day and the Sun is shining to illuminate, to visit the crypt even with the lights off (after leaving an offer around two euros to turn them on), was very impressive.show original

There are numerous tourist attractions that may be of interest to the traveller, but I want to report an attraction for eleven months a year you can visit inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre: the Pugnaloni. Are mosaics made with leaves and flowers on wooden support from large, I think 3 m x 2 m. Tradition says that in the year 1166 the delegate of Emperor Barbarossa browbeat the people. Two peasants saw a dry cherry blossom, symbol of oppressed people that if includes on State managed to rebel against the tyranny. The miraculous event was interpreted as a sign of protection of our Lady. So it was that was the revolt of the people and every year it was decided to celebrate the event every third Sunday in May. Today eight centuries, each year commemorates the feast with the creation of the paintings that were made by local craftsmen. The works are great and unlike various flowers throughout the area, Italian, remain in the Church for 11 months until we are made new ones for the Festival of may day. Some photos may make the example of their beauty. Remarkable is the crypt of the Holy Sepulchre Basilica, so called because in the crypt there is a stone from the Holy Sepulchre. You can admire the capitals of various shapes adorning the 24 columns.show original
