  • On the basis of a comprehensive directory of the park I expected a nice walking area. It turned out to be a single public footpath from the main road to the sea. Most of this area are on private land and is protected by fences. It will be nice, but access to it is particularly bad and was untraceable.

  • Our charming coast extended with the Green wraps, see eagles flying in the prospectus of the timpa nature reserve.

  • coming from Catania you cross all the lengthy Acireale and right after you go down to the sea in the ancient village of Santa Maria la Scala.La road ends at an old mill still functioning. The Marina is super cute and very romantic. The coast is all but lava is wonderful. You can also walk from the highway by a staircase very scenic.

  • it's a steep walk but it's worth it to have a nice point of view on the coast and the town
  • Lovely place. Fantastic sea. Around you eat well.

  • The reserve runs along the SS114 and insists in an area that has remained intact since inaccessible and difficult to access. Offers a fascinating show, overlooking the Ionian Sea coast with a view stretching from Mount Etna, to the coasts of Calabria. Accessed comfortably from the hamlet of Santa Maria delle Grazie and Santa Maria La Scala where I suggest a walk on steep stairway which embraces a wonderful panoramic view.

  • Coming down to Santa Maria Della Scala, is not a nice place to stay. The sea is dirty and the bathroom is not advisable. At most you can visit for some pictures suggestive at Marina, nothing more.

  • Services to users totally absent, often dirty, with guaranteed cleaning often only by volunteers. Easily accessible from the city centre on foot. Breathtaking view.
