  • A metal basket suspended in the void is the first emotion that will overwhelm you in the journey that will take you to the cave entrance, followed by 300 steps that climb on the side of the mountain from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view and a karst cave with wonderful concretions, stalactites and stalagmites that will accompany you throughout your visit. A tribute to the young guide who accompanies us in our visit that has managed to attract our attention with anecdotes and descriptions.

  • Cable car with beautiful scenery (but if you suffer from Vertigo. UH.. You see you!) I personally have not needed any extra clothing for the "cool" that offers cave, but if you feel the cold ... advice for visiting hiking shoes or sneakers with soles with outstanding grip, indeed in the cave water drips from the ceiling so it is wet (and slippery) almost everywhere ... Also there are many steps to do before logging on but everything is amply repaid by the beauty and coolness of the caves. I'd toured BIS though on the cable car!

  • To get to the caves you take a gondola with baskets that were originally designed to bring their flocks to graze on the high and now is used to bring people to the caves. The cable car takes about half an hour to cover a difference in altitude of 500/600 meters. The scenery that you admire, both on the cable car that walk by it at the entrance of the caves, very exhausting for the truth, is very nice. We should advise people to a certain age and not very healthy because the approximately 200 steps to do are very tiring. So far so good and arrived at the entrance of the caves you can enjoy a spectacular view but the visit gave no great surprises. It's cold in the caves (about 10 degrees) and in the first part you see some interesting stalagmites formation, while the stalactites are of little interest. Continuing the path becomes very difficult, full of steps and very slippery. I think the safety of the walk goes treated a little better because you risk falling and getting hurt a lot. In our group fell 3 people, fortunately without serious consequences. I mean I've seen far more beautiful and spectacular caves inside them, this is worth seeing more for what it offers landscapes and the rest.
