  • Departure from the hotel of campo imperatore. Leave early in the morning and check the weather. Provide warm clothes and good shoes. The trails are quite well identified, you can also follow the Cairns. Some climbs are quite stiff and sports. The landscapes are splendid.

  • Good to climb the mountain was also in sneakers, I went come though to the Summit with a sunstroke home but had absolutely great time climbing. Views well was a little hazy but otherwise super view to the West.

  • Started from Prati di Tivo, Franchetti's hut, we climbed to the top of Corno Grande, at 2912m. Wonderful experience, the path to the refuge is pretty quiet. From then on becomes more difficult. But it got to the top, the panorama pays back all efforts! Absolutely experience!

  • A must do. You can reach the Summit from Campo Imperatore by using two ways: direct and panning. The first, the second-longest but demanding faster and easier. Advice to stop back to the cabins to taste the kebabs or a good roast. If changed from must to the refuge Prati di Tivo Franchetti where you will find dishes of Abruzzo.

  • A wonderful place, the roof of the Apennines. The real beauty of the mountain is best seen from the top! You can get in via normal very accessible, or via direttissima for those more trained. Jumatate

  • Amazing vantage point over an area, the Gran Sasso, wonderful. Nothing to envy to the Dolomites. The climb from the Observatory of Campo Imperatore is challenging, allow at least three hours up and two and a half back. Demanding and dangerous "live" mountaineering, climbing some steps are almost dictates: Avoid returning from that side!
