  • in the square in the Centre of the village you can enjoy a nice drink of fresh water; to purchase genuine products point out in the square behind the gas station a shop selling locally produced meats and cheeses ... ... Unfortunately the possibilities of accommodation are rather modest and care (walking distance to St. Stephen Sessanio offers more choices for accommodation category and also concerning the prices)

  • Castel Del Monte is well worth a visit, even though the town is currently ponteggiato, the churches are closed. The village retains its charm, especially walking through streets and alleys. The village is accessible from the South coming from Campo Imperatore.

  • The country has over 1500 metres, the way to achieve it is wonderful and unique. Friendly people beautiful old town you see the earthquake damage but is well worth the visit

  • Excellent place to visit, though besides the castle there is not a lot to see as it's been heavily looted. I really enjoyed it and the person I was with was somewhat under bored.
  • Beautiful building and interesting story behind it. I strongly suggest to get a guide to learn hidden history behind those walls.
  • It is beyond me how such an amazing monument is not famous all over the world. Perfectly maintained, surprising and unique this place is well worth the visit. If you have an answer to the mystery of its purpose, let us know!
  • Even if all the interior was taken away (18th cent.), the aura of the naked 13th cent. building is still fantastic: walking around the "endless" sequence of rooms, it wouldn't be a surprise to meet the owner Friedrich II suddenly... Sitting at an outside window, the special location of the castle on a single hill in a flat landscape becomes obvious, and watching the inside court can bring to mind imaginations of medieval life..
  • Beautiful castle to explore and the audio guide was very well done. Free on the first Sunday of he month.
