  • Alba Fucens is the largest Roman site (so far excavated) in the Abruzzo and it is beautifully located. It was NOT the easiest to find but once we were there we enjoyed our visit tremendously. It is fr...  more »
  • This is a lovely site to visit and out of standard Italian holiday season there is no one around. We had the whole enourmous site to ourselves. The site suddenly appears in the middle of the village. ...  more »
  • This archaeological discovery in the heart of abruzzo definitely makes us feel proud of our past. What we see is a developed civilization already in 300 b.c. by climbing a path that leads to the spectacular amphitheatre you can see the ancient city of about 20,000 inhabitants, which after the destruction was rebuilt in medieval times and beside the current one. a show within the natural spectacle of the surrounding mountains. Truly professional and accurate detail completes the illustration and explanation of the archaeological site of Nora d.ssa Guide. Good and really compliments!!

  • Awesome place. Excavations of archaeologists with a wealth of history. Too bad there is a guide or keeper to do by Cicero. Free entry but ... So the visit becomes almost tedious. Right now we're the only tourists for almost an hour. A place so deserves more publicity.

  • Alba fucens is one of the oldest Roman Italy Center/Latin cities. Has undergone several reconstructions due to earthquake and other things but still retains a special charm. Recommended to lovers of history, if you Abruzzi then why not?

  • The place is really nice, it's certainly a trip outside. Sin is not valued appropriately.
