Sarona, Tel Aviv

4.4
Explore the Tel Aviv district of Sarona, a shopping and entertainment hub situated in a former colony of the German Temple Society. Although the Templers were deported during World War II, the historic buildings remain intact, restored and integrated into a scenic, landscaped district in the heart of the city. Enjoy a relaxing stroll along verdant trails lined with trees and ponds, browse the boutiques, or check out the array of restaurants, bars, and cafes. • Versatile Market for food lovers in modern building. Surrounded by small houses in a beautiful, airybpark. Mostly fashion, restaurants and cafees if you love being outdoies but a beach is not for you,...  more »
  • I'm amazed that Sarona is known only as the Mall, an ordinary shopping mall, while the most beautiful and unforgettable are the gardens with ponds and the benches that play when you sit on it. There have been only two afternoons, but I always keep in mind. I miss them too the grounds of Sarona

  • It's a great place to wonder around, absorb the atmosphere and enjoy yogurt with toppings or ice cream. Plus, there are musical benches around the compound which are cute to listen to and hear some ol...  more »

  • If there were 6 stars I'd give it that! This place is gorgeous. being from Toronto the only place I can compare is st Lawrence market. But this is much newer, much more modern and so many more stores. Smells amazing in here, lots of places to eat, specialty food shops.
  • Fabulous place. Had a great dinner at an Asian/Japanese restaurant. Followed with a great frozen yogurt and fresh fruit dessert. Walked through the market and enjoyed the evening sights and sounds. All around most enjoyable time.
  • Tuesday evenings there's live music at a deafening volume. If you're not into that u might want to choose a different day. I wish I had. As it was I finished my visit of discovery sooner than I would have liked. The fish and chips at Fauchon restaurant was fantastic. Crispy, succulent and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
  • Nice place to enjoy something "different" in Israel. Great food selections, although sadly, limited kosher options. Fun place to see and wander around.
  • Dive bar with great atmosphere and happy hour prices every day until 22:30. Great place!

Where to stay in Tel Aviv

Dedicated to beach culture, Tel Aviv features many mid-range hotels facing the sea. Look for accommodations here if you plan to spend much of your time in or near the water. For easier access to top cultural attractions, opt for boutique establishments in the southern section of the city center, where you'll also find numerous restaurants and cafes. Alternatively, stylish options in Jaffa (the port area) provide access to the city's Arab heritage and a chance to discover a vibrant street life and numerous markets.
