Old Tel Aviv Port Area, Tel Aviv

(4.4/5 based on 1,800+ reviews on the web)
Stroll along Old Tel Aviv Port Area, where the city folk come out to eat, drink, and play in close proximity to the ocean. Originally established in the 1930s to serve as the main commercial harbor for the city, the "namal" (port) never quite lived up to that expectation. Today, the redeveloped area features a long boardwalk, lined by Israeli and international clothing stores, cafes, and restaurants. At night, the city's young residents swarm the many nightclubs and bars in the area, sometimes spilling onto the beach and invading the sand. A visit to Old Tel Aviv Port Area represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Tel Aviv family vacation planner to plot your vacation.

  • Worth visiting since it is in the old city of Jaffa. Where Peter was taken to Rome and Jonas also used this port.
