Hagana Museum, Tel Aviv
(4.4/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
Visit Hagana Museum, a museum dedicated to the establishment of the Jewish Yishuv and its military group, the Hagana which served as the foundation for the Israel Defense Forces. The museum operates in the former home of Eliyahu Golomb, one of the founders and famous commanders of the Hagana. The house was originally constructed in 1914 and has been preserved to reflect the typical Tel Aviv lifestyle of the time. Observe numerous original artifacts such as photos, weapons, testimonials, and accounts documenting the struggle in creating the state of Israel. You'll be able to learn about revolts, wars, and how the military evolved into an officially recognized state defense force.
