Bein Harim Tourism Services reviews
After visiting Egypt and Jordan, my wife and I took the 7-night (February 26 to March 4) Classic Israel tour with Bein Harim (BH) Tours from . Thanks to the guides, drivers and driver/guides (very... more »
We had Norbert for the Masada and Dead Sea tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He speaks so many languages too. He gave a top notch tour of the Masada and delved into the history, which... more »
We spent a week in Israel in December last year (2019). We did 4 of the daily tours. This allows us to cover a large part of the country, and it covered everything we were particularly interested... more »
In August of this year, I took members of my family to Israel, we chose to stay at the Sheraton in Tel Aviv as we were travelling with an eight year old who loved to swim in the ocean. The Sheraton at my request arranged a private tour for us through Bein Harim of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. What a complete disaster the trip was and suffice to say we were left after the tour both angry and disappointed. Our tour guide was a racist, he made several disparaging remarks about the Palestinians, refused to take us into the Muslim quarter in Jerusalem, his criticism of the occupied territories was again directed against his perceived enemy, and at one point he rolled down the window of the car and shouted at youth and seemed to think he was justified because they were “Arabs” He drove like a maniac, took money from us to pay for the parking but pocketed it and did not pay the parking. He talked on the phone to his wife and generally spent most of the time in the car checking his phone. He took us to tourist traps for lunch and shopping and in both places he received kick backs. At the Dead Sea he disappeared and we spent twenty minutes trying to track him down. We arrived back at the Sheraton quite late so I waited until the next morning and then laid a complaint with the manager at the Sheraton who agreed that I would not have to pay for the tour. I also discussed the situation with the front desk and I was satisfied that the matter had been dealt with. When it was time to checkout of the hotel, much to my surprise I had been charged (discounted) for the tour. I refused to pay for my bill unless the charge was removed and agreed to discuss the issue further once I returned home. Imagine my fury to discover that while I was on the plane, the Sheraton ran through the charge for the disputed tour and did this without my authorization. I have tried to fight this with American Express but the Sheraton provided paperwork which included a fraudulent copy of my signature. According to American Express, I have to take legal action regarding this matter to prove the signature is not mine and was told to call the police. I will never stay at a Sheraton again, I also highly recommend that no one ever uses the Bein Harim Tour company. If this review board is anything to go by it pretty apparent that Bein Harim and it's agent the Sheraton Tel Aviv do not care about customer service. Shame on all of you involved.
We toured old and new Jerusalem for our honeymoon. Eyal was our tour guide and made the trip 5 stars for us. Well spoken, easy to understand and even put his hat in the air when things got busy. Thank you Eyal...keep doing what you do.
Although I had a little anxiety about the pickup arrangements, once the buses arrived, this tour group went into high gear to get everyone off to their desired excursions. Our guide for Nazareth, Tiberias, and the Sea of Galilee tour, Daniel, was unfailingly pleasant, very knowledgeable, and quite funny. I had a wonderful full day on my trip and would recommend this company for travelers to Israel.
I had a very blessed day today! And Avi is a very Professional TripAdvisor And tomorrow i am going again with Bein Harim to Massada and the Dead Sea! So keep up the good work!
Took the Caesarea, Acre and Rosh Hanikra tour with guide MM. Both the tour and the guide were poor and not worth the price. The tour was supposed to be an English tour but we were combined with a French tour without any prior notice or opportunity to make changes. The guide repeated everything twice, which for obvious reasons made it difficult to follow, prolonged waiting time and shortened explanations in each language. The guide had a condescending manner and gave basic information without colour or humour. He was more interested in moving the tour along than ensuring the group had a good time. At the Rosh Hanika border, I had waited for all but one in the group to take a photo - there was only one lady in the group after me, but the moment I approached the border sign for my turn the guide said loudly to the lady "you can go over when she [referring to me] moves out of the spot". The tour was not enjoyable and I wanted it to end. Pictured is the sad lunch we had at Akko.
