  • Jewish architects who fled from the Germany of Hitler had a challenge in Tel Aviv: build a city of what was only a quarter of the historic Jafa. Were followers of the school Bauhaus, considered by the nazis an aberration aesthetic. It was make functional buildings so that the common people could live in comfort. Built some 4000 homes equal, all white of three plants. The Uneso said this complex, known as White City, with the award of world heritage site. Today, almost all is in poor condition. Only a few units have been restored.

  • Very informative center and tour. Although I knew the Bauhaus movement, I received new informations about the way the "trend" was applied in Israel and how Tel aviv and Middle East conditions and weat...  more »
  • Nice gifts and judaica, also carries funky and unusual products, there are low priced souvenirs but generally expensive

  • Great place with lot of souvenirs. But the museum is not a museum and could definitely be more developed. Not enough information in English about the bahaus style.. I see now with other post that there is an audio book that was never proposed to us the two times we get there. Maybe it is time to communicate more efficiently on this..
  • The audio guide walking tour is excellent. It takes about an hour to wander around the neighbourhood and the descriptions are very helpful. I definitely enjoyed it and recommend it to others. Also, the gift shop at the Bauhaus Center is excellent! A great selection of more unusual gifts and souvenirs.
  • Excellent audio tours around the neighbourhood available, I would definitely recommend the tours, which take about an hour. The “museum“ itself is more like a rather expensive shop. A definite “must-do“ in TLV.
  • Very informative, very friendly staff. Tours recommended. Standard guided tour is on Friday morning (starting at 10am)
  • Expensive Museums Shop without Museum. Just a few before-and-after photos from buildings around and many way too expensive books and gifts without any connection to the Bauhaus. But a very good free tour.
