  • Place very well maintained. Worth the visit! The place today is administered by the Vatican, then does not have religious importance to Judaism. Hence the name Church of the synagogue.

  • If are callejeando by Nazareth, rising by the Souk, will reach to the parish of them Greek Catholic (Melkite), just to the side, there is a building rather simple that reminds to the synagogue that existed in this city in times of Jesus. In medieval times it was rather a Hall which was used as a church from the year 1741. But this not is it important in this building that by curiosity attracts to the tourists. For us it reminds us of the biblical passage when Jesus returned to Galilee and went to the synagogue of Nazareth, in order to comply with the precept of Saturday. Nothing more get stood up, indicating that he wanted to make the reading. Gave you the book of the Prophet Isaiah, in one of its paragraphs read: the Lord has sent me to proclaim the Gospel to the poor... We know which was the meaning of these words and their importance.

  • I guess this place has great historical importance, but as far as the architecture goes, there are far more impressive places in Nazareth.
