Museum Educational Site
Reenact the early life of Jesus at Nazareth Village, an open-air museum in the eponymous town. Aimed at reconstructing the 1st-century farm and village in Galilee, the village features a large number of traditional houses, ancient-style workshops, terrace fields, and dry stone mills. The Scottish foundation-run theme park gives a wide range of hands-on experience to visitors, just 0.5 km (0.3 mi) away from the ancient town center. Explore a Jesus-style carpentry shop or check out a good shepherd next to a pen full of sheep, which you can feed. Appropriately dressed actors keep the lore alive, demonstrating daily life some 2,000 years ago. Put Nazareth Village and other Nazareth attractions into our Nazareth vacation generator, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • This is an authentic place created to assimilate the village of Nazareth how it was 2000 years ago, during Jesus' times. It is very well done and you can get a feeling of how the houses looked like. People who work there are wearing the kind of clothes people wore 2000 years ago and you get to experience the kinds of jobs they had... carpenter, etc. I highly recommend you go check it out yourself!
  • A living and working museum that's worth driving for. I've been there three times, and the different guides each time have new details and stories. Remember to book a guided tour to get all details from the buildings etc. Also recommended for children as there are workshops, living animals etc.
  • Great presentation, the synogogue and authenticity of lifestyle, volunteers, staff - awesome. God bless you all.
  • If you have enough time in Nazareth you should visit the place- you need to book s local guide in advance. Usually the guides are very knowledgeable and talented. Highly recommended
  • I loved it! I can't wait to come back. A must see.
