Avdat National Park, Mitspe Ramon

Trek through Avdat National Park, a deep canyon near the World Heritage Site of Avdat, known for its picturesque natural springs. The canyon and its trails veer through a dry river valley in the arid Negev desert, and as evidence shows, were once inhabited by ancient Nabateans. Christian monks also used to live in the area, finding their shelter in caves carved into the stone. Several hiking trails climbing large numbers of steps will take you to scenic viewpoints of the springs, which flow in a series of waterfalls to pools of saltwater below, fringed by poplars and saltbush plants. • The way I traveled with a special group that does meditation. The Nuagia and Ein Avdat Group had a wonderful talk. Clean, pleasant, powerful. A meeting with the peace and quiet of my words. Under the squeakes he stopped for magical meditation--and the desert was joined with all his independence. Inhale, the staff of the park handler.

  • We were there the day before Passover, and we were not allowed into the park at 12:00. We then went over smaller paths into a side valley of the wadi. Because of the holiday we were able to hike in all the tranquility and in impressive nature a beautiful round trip. Note opening hours and best arrange a pick-up at the end of the route.
