#4 of 165 in Museums in Israel
Located within an ancient citadel, Tower of David Museum displays 4,000 years of Jerusalem's history. The museum inhabits several rooms in the ancient fortification dating back to the Hasmonean dynasty that were rebuilt and expanded over millennia. • Very nice bridge between the ancient and the modern at the entrance to the old city. Nice place to walk and tour. If you're new to Israel a guided tour would be best.
  • Really cool museum with a really nice garden inside. Very relaxing. And the historic stone towers are amazing.
  • Maybe I've travelled too much to be easily impressed. I was chilly I didn't dress warmly enough and I didn't know what I was looking at I mean in terms of the symbolism.. They we're giving out some sort of pamphlet on the way in but it's too dark to look at it so I didn't really understand what it was I was supposed to be viewing. the special effects are pretty nice especially if you have nothing else to do that night
  • A wonderful place to visit. I had a good time there. Love Jerusalem Love Israel.
  • Great place to visit in Jerusalem. You can enjoy a great view of the old city and learn about history :). Sometimes they organized shows. Recommended

Where to stay in Jerusalem

Although it lacks a big selection of mid-range options, Jerusalem provides plenty of choices in the top-end hotel category. The Old City contains the bulk of Jerusalem's small hotels, inexpensive hostels, and religious hospices, all of which appeal to budget-conscious travelers. West Jerusalem offers additional options in the form of guesthouses and bigger hotels, some of which boast five-star ratings. If you just need a bed, consider a youth hostel, where you can choose between private and common rooms with Wi-Fi included.
