Where to stay in Jerusalem

Although it lacks a big selection of mid-range options, Jerusalem provides plenty of choices in the top-end hotel category. The Old City contains the bulk of Jerusalem's small hotels, inexpensive hostels, and religious hospices, all of which appeal to budget-conscious travelers. West Jerusalem offers additional options in the form of guesthouses and bigger hotels, some of which boast five-star ratings. If you just need a bed, consider a youth hostel, where you can choose between private and common rooms with Wi-Fi included.

  • One of the nicest places to visit while in Israel. The zoo is a perfect attraction to spend the day together with a family. It's all well planned out, with exhibits lining the park that make it easy to see the different animals without jumping around the place.
  • Beautiful place. But it was to hot You have to take a lot of cold water. And food. There are places to seat for picnic
  • A great zoo! Besides exciting animals there are many open and green areas providing plenty of open areas when you walk around. Only downside is that food is only sold at the entrance. So either you have to buy it when you come in, or you need to remember your lunch yourself, because when you walk around in the park, they only sell ice cream and candy, and a visit can easily take 3-4 hours.
  • Wonderful place. Very interesting place for children and adults. There are many animals and birds. Also there are aquariums and terrariums with reptiles, fishes and other sea inhabitants. Zoo has a really big area, so if you want to visit all inhabitants of it and not to be in hurry, expect to spend here all day. And it's better to visit this zoo not in very hot days, because animals hide in the shade and you can't see some of them. Moreover you can find hours of feeding particular animals on the nameplates near their aviaries and see this process. Around the perimeter of the zoo there are toilets and fountains with drinking water. All important places in the zoo are marked on the map which you get at the entrance.
  • Unique zoo. Great for kids and adults. Lots of kids activities, playgrounds and places to explore. Nice visitor's center with cafeteria, designed as Noah's Ark. A motorized train takes visitors on a circular route. The park is stroller and wheelchair-accessible.
