  • The place where you can relax from the hustle and bustle of soul. Is on the other side of Jerusalem and get there will take time, but the beauty and inner peace is worth it. Very quietly, cleanly, and mentally

  • As in Tel Aviv, carried out independent trip in Gornensky monastery on local transport. First intercity bus, we used # 406 (Holon-Bat Yam-Jerusalem). From the bus station-take the tram in the direction of Mount Herzl to the terminus, ibid. at a bus stop, leaving the tram stop, stand still and wait for the bus to the terminus 27 Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem. The bus will go down the mountain, the road on the right hand side at the bottom see the dome of the Cathedral of all Russian Saints is to know where to go upon arrival. As soon as the bus entered the territory of the hospital, immediately go (inside the bus will make several stops) and go through the parking lot to the right clearly little Street past educational and residential houses medical students. The street goes down and takes you to the gate of the monastery. Call and the door opens in the wonderful world of. Try not to ride the tour-group, because it will all run. Better yourself. To feel the atmosphere, stay at least 2 hours, visit both the temple, stroll along the alleys. Sit on a bench overlooking Jerusalem. Grace herself will visit you.

  • In Gornensky I visit with tourists and pilgrims is quite often, it is included in some popular excursions and tours. The place is wonderful, but in the second half of the winter and early spring, when all blooms and not hot-just fabulously beautiful. From the gate we usually go up the Hill to the Cathedral on foot. This is a very pleasant walk along the path with wonderful views of the Ein Kerem and the surrounding monasteries and churches. What I advise you to pay attention in Gornensky monastery, except, of course, the Cathedral of all saints, in the land of the Russian Saints and Church of Kazan icon of the mother of God: in the temple you certainly won't miss the miraculous image of the Kazan Mother Bozhi'j; -the right of the entrance to the temple is the main shrine of the monastery-part stone, which according to local legend, St. John the Baptist, uttered the first sermon; -the temple is located on the side of the tank with holy water (near the tank usually have empty bottles-for those who are not stocked up its); -from April to June in the monastery is the icon of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Trinity Cathedral; -Cave Temple in honor of St. John The Baptist. It is often closed, but if you ask a nun monastery or trudnicu, you may admit; -busts archimandrites, donated to the Monastery sculptor z. Tsereteli; And yet, especially if you were in the monastery of yourself, I advise you to get acquainted with its history. It is very interesting, sometimes dramatic, sometimes wonderful. As, however, the history of almost all monasteries and churches in the Holy land.
