Old City of Jerusalem, Jerusalem
(4.8/5 based on 8,000+ reviews on the web)
Feel the weight of centuries of history in Old City of Jerusalem, officially designated as a World Heritage Site and appreciated as critically important to believers of the world's three major religions. According to the Hebrew Bible, King David conquered the city from its Jebusite inhabitants in the 11th century BCE. Since then, this urban settlement has served as the heart of the Jewish community and an integral site in Christianity and Islam. Visit all four quarters--the Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Armenian quarters each boast distinct cultures, foods, and architectural gems. Find your way through the narrow sloping alleys of Jerusalem to visit major sites like the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the Dome of the Rock. Plan your visit to Old City of Jerusalem and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Jerusalem vacation trip planner.

  • Unfortunately, time is running out and we had to visit in half a day the ancient city, among other things there was a religious festivity in progress and it was packed with ultra-Orthodox Jews, with the heavy risk of attacks

  • Loved it there. Real differences in Christian, Armenian and Jewish Quarters to the Muslim Quarter. Loved our time there and you must go to the Western Wall. Very moving. Also visit the shop in the Jew...  more »
  • While on the tour it is necessary to count on many pedestrian crossings with climbs and descents, you need comfortable shoes and water. Be sure to keep up with the Guide, you can easily however. The city produces an unforgettable impression!
