  • You have a beautiful view on the old city of Jerusalem from the Mount of olives from. By the Jewish cemetery, you can walk to the Dominus Flevit Church. And there again to enjoy the views of Jerusalem. Then we walk down to the garden of Gethsemaneh. The cemetery itself is a place of silence and respect and no "site" to the visit. Impressive is the story behind it (expectation of the Messiah, the age of the cemetery, Jewish traditions in funeral, etc.).

  • There was lots of activity in the cemetery early in the morning as Jewish men took groups of young boys and young men to pray over their ancestors.
  • This Jewish cemetery is just across town, on the opposite Hill to the walls, from here you can enjoy an astonishing sunset for Jerusalem
